The minimum requirements for gasoline fuels are defined in DIN standards in the Federal Republic of Germany.
  • DIN EN 228 applies to unleaded fuels (Sheet 122.2)
Filling stations identify such fuel qualities with a sticker affixed to the pumps.

Leaded fuels have no longer been available since end 1996.
